MAN OFFERS TO HELP 'UNDER-PAID' CEOs BY SENDING £1 CHEQUE IN THE POST.
Don’t mess with this guy. You might get £1 in return.
This man has offered to solve the problem of ‘under-paid’ chief executives in the UK with this one letter and it’s awesome.
The letter was sent to Sam Bowman, executive director of the
right-wing think-tank Adam Smith Institute, in response to his claim on
the BBC’s Today programme that CEOs are under-paid.
Sam tweeted a picture of the mocking ‘post’ he received – a cheque of £1.00 by a man called Dr Simon M. Bradley.

It reads: ‘I was disturbed to hear the news from you on the Today
programme this morning that some of our top executives may be
under-paid.
‘When you next encounter a top UK executive, perhaps you could pass
on a precautionary pound coin to him or her, with my best wishes?’
Sam, who was a guest speaker on the show on Tuesday, claimed that
‘chief executives are worth quite a lot to firms’ and ‘don’t get paid
enough’.
This was in response to ‘Fat Cat Tuesday’, which is the day where the
average chief executive of a FTSE 100 company would have earned more
than the average worker would in a year.
In the letter, Mr Bradley apologises for not giving more,
sarcastically adding that it is because his ‘own salary isn’t much
higher than the UK median’.
The director, clearly seeing the bright side though, followed up his
tweet with an image of him grinning and holding a £1 coin in his hand,
with the caption: ‘Cashed! Thanks Dr Bradley’
Speaking to
Metro.co.uk afterwards, Sam said: ‘I thought it was really funny – if you’re going to be mocked, it’s nice when the mockery is so witty.’
He added that he’s decided to donate the £1 to the Hillary Clinton
campaign, ‘because she’s the best CEO I think America can hope for right
now!’
Don’t let Mr Trump hear you say that, Sam.
