OUTRAGE AS SEVERELY ENDANGERED BEAR FOUND SHOT TO DEATH IN 'REPREHENSIBLE' ATTACK.
THE Colombian president has urged police to probe the illegal hunting death of an endangered bear.

The species – also known as the Andean bear – is mostly found along the Andes mountains and its total population numbers a few thousand.
The bear was among 40 members of the shy, shaggy species believed to live in the park.
The killing of the spectacled bear at is reprehensible
Writing on Twitter, he told Rodolfo Palomino: "The killing of the spectacled bear at Chingaza National Park is reprehensible.
"Find those responsible!"
The police chief promptly replied, saying officers would try their best to "capture those responsible" for the shocking killing.

While it is unclear who killed the bear, farmers have encroached on the national park in recent years.
Other animals found in the park include deer, pumas, ocelots, and toucans and woolly monkeys.
